Direct Pulper Rope-Shredding the leading solution

Pulper Ropes are spin-ups around “fished” wire agglomerations in HC Pulpers.

A Pulper Rope is a waste strand formed inside a paper recycling HC pulper, made up of all the non-paper impurities from the raw material.

A powerful hydraulic winch pulls out the rope from the Pulper Tank, on the outer side up to know the hanging rope was cut into shorter, manageable rope sections, by powerful hydraulic shears.

This rope Contain steel wires, plastics, and fibers tightly twisted together, often wet, heavy, and elastic, making them unsuitable for handling and direct incineration.

Since Years Meri has successfully established LION Twin Shaft Shredders, with low speed, hydraulically driven rotating knives, to cut and subsequently separate the fractions, Plastic, Fiber and Metall for incineration or recovery.

Now Meri has proved with several installations the Integrated Direct Rope Shredding.

The rope pulled from the pulper is forwarded directly after the winch into the Shredding Stage (a patent of meri), with significant advantages in OPEX and CAPEX.

Integrated Direct Rope Shredding has the following advantages:

  • No more Rope Cutter (hydraulic shear) investment necessary
  • The rope is directly fed into the Meri LION Twin Shaft Shredders
  • The Meri LION Twin Shaft Shredders operates the hydraulic counter rotating or reversing drives with advanced intelligent controls which provide reliable function under all operating conditions.
  • The speed of the pulling rope winch operates is integrated with LION Twin Shaft Shredder Control

Rope Handling practically is obsolete as the Rope is directly shredded in small fractions which after secondary shredding allow direct Separation / Sorting of the fractions Plastic, Fiber and Metall for incineration or recovery.
